Seeing Through Different Eyes
A handbook of hope for parents and carers who need extra skills.
This is the story of Paul Atkinson, a person with extensive and permanent brain damage. Throughout the biography there is evidence of people seeing the same things through different eyes and coming to different conclusions and outcomes.
There are seven distinct stages, each with separate locations, action and narrative. In each of these stages his parents discovered principles and practices which could be used by any family battling with challenging care situations. These principles are summarised at the end of each chapter.
Paul has produced a significant quantity of artwork which illustrates how he sees through different eyes. Some of his artwork is used to tell the story in this book.
