Tools for talking
We've had so much wonderful feedback about what our cushions have enabled. They have been called a 'tool for talking' which we really love. They are 18"x18" and can be printed in any of our designs - the link to them on our site is above.
So many people have come back to us with stories of what they've used our cushions for and we find it pretty inspiring. We weren't expecting for them to be as much of a conversation starter as they are. Carers of the elderly have used our cushions to speak to one another as they don't require any more than a picture, it has prompted memory recall as the elderly people within care hones have not only listened to the stories but have told them. Teenagers in church schools have also found the same experience when visiting care homes, it became easier to talk to a stranger with a tool to prompt and guide a conversation.
We like the idea that our cushions are spreading bible stories without needing a bible. An example of this is our boat in the storm cushion.
This cushion was used to remind someone of Jesus' constant presence, and it seemed much better than a picture because it could be moved. Someone was going through a hard time but used this as their reminder for positivity by moving it around their house so they could always see it and always be reminded of the story of the boat in the storm.
When people visited a family member in a hospice they took one of these cushions to leave on the chair by their bed so they were reminded of them even when they weren't there.
These cushions have really meant a lot to many people and we are so glad that we could make that difference to people's lives.
